SatRaRawfoodoula: I have been engaging in conscious eating and conscious food prep for 17 yrs. First eliminating pork, next all land meat all together, then dairy and refined white products,and seafood. My diet is predominately live foods. I first started on this conscious eating journey by way of information about pork given to me by my muslim brother . Years later, I learned about the effects of meat and dairy through studying literature from a website named factology.com and decided to become vegan. After reading Sacred Woman and Heal Thyself, I had my first introduction into living foods through Queen Afua's literature. It has definetly been a journey. I have seen tremendous growth and healing as my diet has evolved. I am truly greatful for what my diet has done for me and my family. My children very seldom get sick or have a cold; maybe about 1 time out of a year. I use to get real bad acne. My skin has cleared tremendously; and my menstrual cycles use to be heavy and painful but they are not anymore. I would like to share all the wonderful benefits of what a vegan and raw vegan foods diet can do for you and your family through the foods we prepare with family love and care with you!
Super Star: I started out vegetarian. I was a vegetarian from a baby until I was 6 yrs old. I become vegan and also began eating a lot of raw/living foods at the age of 6 yrs old. When I became vegan and started eating a lot of living foods, I stopped having a lot of ear infections and colds. I am now 9 yrs old and I am still vegan and eat lots of living foods. What I like best about this diet is that I can still eat some of the same dishes that I ate when I was a vegetarian. The only thing I have to do is switch around a few ingredients. Like lasanga for example, instead of using white pasta, we use brown rice pasta or you can use whole grain pasta. Instead of using cheese, we use vegan cheese and/or nutritional yeast.
I really love being a vegan and eating raw/living foods. I also love being a chef and making them as well.
TRA-ART: My journey on the vegan and raw/living diet has been challenging. It's been challenging because of the adjustments I have had to make, but like everything when you put hard work into something most of of the time it turns out good. I have learned about the dangers of certain foods and the goodness of healthy foods. The journey as a chef has been the best to me because sense I was 7 I always liked peparing foods. Heru: Vegan foods are very healthy. The healthiest foods are broccoli, carrots and cauliflower. The healthiest raw food is sprouts. They are very nutritious. I like making vegan and raw foods. Making these foods are fun.
